21 October 17:30-20:00

Join author Kent Hung for an evening about writing, creativity, family, and mental wellbeing.

Kent was born in Taiwan and raised in Sweden. He is now based in Edinburgh but spends much of his time in Stockholm and is planning to move back to the city permanently.

Kent is the author of three interconnected novels: Letting Go (2019), Entitled (2022), and Starry, Starry Night (2025). Set in Edinburgh and Glasgow, the novels explore family dynamics, mental health and emotional healing across four generations. Each book can also be read independently.

During the evening, Kent will talk about his writing journey, his motivations and the challenges he has experienced along the way. He will also share how creativity and writing can support mental wellbeing, followed by a Q&A with the audience.

The evening will begin with a welcome drink and informal mingling, followed by the talk and Q&A.
